Starting some new books...

Well, last night (technically the night before last) I finished Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. Not for the first time, of course. So now I am starting on the Prisoner of Azkaban again.
Wow, exciting update, right?
And seeing as I am unable to start on the Gilmore Girls Challenge right now, I'm starting the Random Reading Challenge tonight. I used the randomizer, and it looks like I'm starting with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
So yup. That's what's up right now.

Oh, did I mention I also set a goal to read 100 books in 2010?

Random Reading Challenge

I found this cool challenge posted by Caribou's Mom where you read a random book! What you do is make a list of all the books you have that you want to read, number them, and use this random generator to decide which book to read! The challenge takes place from August 1st, 2009 to July 31st, 2010. There are 3 different levels of participation, and I myself am going to do level 3, meaning I read at least 12 books in the allotted time.

Joined a Challenge

I have joined the Gilmore Girls Reading Challenge! It's the first reading challenge I've ever done, and I figured it'd be fun, seeing how I was going to read all the books mentioned on the show.
The aim is to read a certain number of books mentioned in the series throughout the whole year. I'm going for the Rory level, which is to read 20 books from at least 4 of the different categories. I'm fairly certain I'll be able to read more than 20 this year though.
So yes. That's my goal.

The Beginning

Hey there, I'm Hawkstar. Or Alyssa. Whichever you want to call me. You may know me from deviantArt, YouTube, Livejournal, or any of the many other sites I frequent.
So, I've started this blog because I've decided to take on Rory's Required Reading list, which means I am going to read all of the books that Rory read on the show, Gilmore Girls. Why? I love reading, and I've been wanting to read a larger variety of books, as I normally only read teen/young adult books. And many of the books on this list are ones that I've been wanting to read.
Now, I am reading a lot of books at the moment, this biggest thing I'm doing is re-reading the Harry Potter series, but I think I might start the list within the next week or so while finishing the books that I'm already on. I should be going up to visit my dad this weekend, so I'm going to try to pick up one or two of the books.

Currently though, I am adding the list to my iPod, so I have can have it with me while in a bookstore. It's taking a LONG time though, considering there are so many books... But I'm hoping to finish it today. As of now, I'm up to season 3.

Well, I'm going to get back to it. I'll blog again soon, hopefully listing which books I'm starting.
